Frinsa coffee estate started in 2010 in the centre of the coffee-rich area of Sindangkerta in West Java. The collective in the name refers to the hundreds of small farms around the estate that grow the coffee cherries. Like a lot of places around the world, coffee production at Frinsa is a collaborative effort: the coffee farmers grow the plant and then sell the cherries to the mill to be processed by the mill’s dedicated staff.

Husband and wife Wildan & Atieq own Frinsa and are dedicated to enriching the coffee chain by teaching local producers new skills so they can grow better quality and higher yields.

This is our first coffee from Indonesia and we are incredibly excited to share it. Although coffees from the country sometimes have a reputation for earthy, smoky characteristics, Frinsa Collective’s definitely does not. We love it because it shows off a different version of Indonesia: a cup quality that is complex, delicate and vibrant.
