George Street Blend is certified by the Soil Association as organic. We roast the blend to highlight the natural flavours of the coffee created at the farm during harvest while also looking to create a coffee strong in flavour so it shines through milk.
This version of our mainstay blend was created by blending two coffees from Latin America, the Colombian coffee Macizo and the Peruvian San Jose. has been a fixture of George Street since late last year when it arrived with us fresh from trees near the small town of Planadas in Southern Tolima. It is a sweet and crisp coffee that gives the blend its higher vibrant notes.
The Peruvian coffee San Jose comes from three farms, El Cedro, La Catarata and La Loma. Like in Colombia the farms of Peru are often quite small, meaning many lots are mixed together to create larger lots to export. This small association of producers came together in the beginning of 2018 and this lot is part of their first harvest together.
