If you want the same reliable cup each time, choose a blend: George Street for chocolate, berries and butterscotch, or Donna for dark chocolate, caramel and walnut. If you'd rather be surprised, the Single Origin Subscription is curated by our roasting team and changes with every delivery. If you use a capsule machine, our pods come in House Blend, Classic Blend and Decaf. For a workplace, we run bulk office subscriptions.

Every coffee bag subscription works with an espresso machine. Choose the fine grind, or whole bean if you grind at home. Our coffees are lightly roasted and the single origins change with the season, so you may need to adjust your dial-in when a new bag arrives. Our pods are for Nespresso style capsule machines rather than espresso machines.

We roast to order in small batches. Your coffee is roasted for your delivery rather than pulled from a warehouse, and orders are processed within one to two working days before shipping from our London roastery.

Everything is roasted at our own organic certified roastery in London. We're London's first carbon negative coffee brand, and every coffee, pod and product we sell is certified carbon negative. We measure our emissions quarterly with Swiss nonprofit On A Mission and offset more than we produce through reforestation.

Yes, in both formats. Peru Negrisa Organic Decaf is £12.19 a delivery as whole bean or ground, decaffeinated using the Mountain Water Process. Organic Decaf Pods are £11.25 for a pack of 20 and use the Swiss Water process. Both methods are chemical free.

Yes. Choose whole bean, or ground coarse for cafetière and filter, medium for drip, or fine for espresso. We'd nudge you towards whole bean and grinding at home, but the ground options work well.

Anywhere from every week to every eight weeks, in weekly steps. You set it when you subscribe and can change it whenever you like from your subscription account.

Yes, any time. No minimum and no lock-in. Skip a delivery, delay it or cancel outright from your subscription account. Cancellation is effective immediately, so you won't be billed again.

All UK subscription orders ship free. Orders under £50 arrive in 2 to 3 working days with Royal Mail or DHL Parcel Pickup. Orders of £50 and over ship free with DHL Express in 1 to 2 working days. If your order hasn't arrived within 10 working days of dispatch we'll send a replacement, and you can reach our roastery team at roasting@kissthehippo.com any time.

If you subscribe to a 250g bag or a pack of 30 pods, you don't need to be in. Our packaging is made to fit through almost any letterbox. For 1kg subscriptions you'll arrange a redelivery with Royal Mail.

We ship worldwide with DHL Express, and Royal Mail for selected EU destinations. Rates depend on destination and weight and are calculated at checkout. Gift subscriptions are UK only. Import taxes and customs duties are the recipient's responsibility.

Payment is taken from the card you sign up with. On an ongoing subscription the first payment is charged when you order, then again with every delivery. Gift subscriptions are paid up front for the full duration. You can see your next billing date and update your card any time in your subscription account.

Our pods are plastic free and made from bio-based materials. They're approved for industrial composting, where they break down fully in around six weeks. They'll also break down in a home composter, though that usually takes longer, around 10 weeks depending on temperature, heap size and conditions. A council food waste collection works too.

We pay our farmers well above the Fair Trade price, often more than double, because paying properly for quality is what makes sustainable farming viable. Our pods are certified organic. For our coffees we prioritise direct relationships and paying above market rather than certification alone.

Our coffee team tastes over 500 speciality coffees a year and buys through long-standing direct relationships with producers. We pay well above the Fair Trade price, and 1,000 trees are planted every month through our global reforestation initiative.
