Expect notes of Chocolate Fudge, Strawberry Jam, Caramel Shortbread.
Our first Christmas Blend brings together three of our favourite coffees of the year in a blend that was made to please everyone: it tastes incredibly sweet as an espresso, cuts through milk for a latte, and is easy to drink as a filter. A Brazilian coffee called Ame from our Donna blend anchors the cup with its chocolate flavour; from there an even mix of our Honduran La Cumbre from our George St. blend adds a strawberry jam note and our single origin Kenya Kii rounds things off with a seasonal shortbread note.
Amecafe is an association of fifty women producers in Brazil who grow a variety of different cultivars that combine to make a consistently delicious cup. La Cumbre, meanwhile, is a small farm in the north-east of Honduras surrounded by nature reserves. The micro-climate there is fast changing, making it ideal for slow growing coffee that creates a lot of flavour in the cup. Finally, Kii is a co-operative mill of over a thousand producers not far from Mt. Kenya. The farms nestle in the hill country surrounding the mountain, which creates a unique climate ideal for growing coffee.
