London, how we've missed you! After a lot of planning, both our Richmond and Fitzrovia cafe are now open for takeaway.
Obviously, safety – of our guests and our team – is our top priority. That’s why we’ve put together some handy info on how to make your trip to Kiss the Hippo as safe and fuss-free as possible.
How to order
In the interests of staying hygienic, we’re only doing takeaways at the moment – and we’re keeping things contactless.
After payment, everything will be served in compostable, takeaway cups with lids. If you want sugar or milk, ask a barista and they’ll take care of it for you.
As well as a limited drinks menu, there’ll also be pastries, cookies and other sweet treats. You just won’t be able to eat them at our tables inside quite yet.
Hand sanitising stations are readily available in-store, and we encourage you to use one upon arrival. Aside from that, just turn up, line up (in your required face covering), and head to our collection table for a flawless, contactless handover.
How to help us
First things first: wear a face covering. We’re making masks mandatory for ordering at all of our cafes – thanks for understanding!
When queueing outside the cafe, please practise social distancing and stay one metre apart from other guests. Once inside, please ensure to sanitise your hands using our sanitising station.
It goes without saying, but please take care of yourself. If you’re not feeling well, rest up at home and recover before heading out for a coffee.

How we’re helping, too
Team safety is a top priority for us. We’ve reorganised timetables and workflows to ensure social distancing is possible, and we’ve provided all team members with personal protective gear such as face masks and plastic shielding.
We’re running regular temperature checks, and we’ve ramped up our hygiene procedures to ensure everything is as sanitary as possible. We’re open to input, we’re listening to our team on a daily basis, and we’re trying to ensure everything is as transparent as possible.
