Meet the Peach Mont Blanc: Summer in a Highball

Cold brew. Elderflower. A whipped cloud of peach and oat cream. A flicker of orange. The Peach Mont Blanc is our new summer drink, and it's exactly as dreamy as it sounds.

Where the name comes from

Mont Blanc is the highest peak in the Alps, a snow-capped summit on the French-Italian border. It's also a 19th-century Parisian dessert that mimicked that peak with chestnut purΓ©e and a cap of whipped cream. Our version keeps the snowy crown but swaps the chestnut for organic cold brew, sweetens it with floral elderflower, and finishes with a twist of orange for lift.

Make it at home

Serves 1

You'll need:

  • 1 Γ— 250ml can Kiss the Hippo Coffee Organic Cold Brew
  • 10g Bristol Syrup Co. Elderflower syrup
  • 25g Oatly Organic Single Cream
  • 10g Sweetbird Peach syrup
  • Orange peel, to garnish
  • A tall highball glass

Method:

  1. Fill the glass. Pack a tall highball glass with ice to the rim. Cold glassware keeps the cream cap clean.
  2. Elderflower over ice. Pour 10g of elderflower syrup straight over the ice.
  3. Pour the cold brew. Open one 250ml can of Kiss the Hippo Coffee Organic Cold Brew and pour slowly down the side of the glass.
  4. Whip the cream. In a jug, combine 25g Oatly Organic Single Cream with 10g peach syrup. Whisk to a soft, pourable foam, then pour gently over the back of a spoon to float it on top.
  5. Finish with the peel. Express an orange peel over the cream cap and lay it across the top.

Pro tip: Don't overwhip the cream. It should float easily without much fuss. A few smooth strokes to a soft, pourable foam is all it needs.
