Kiss the Hippo Coffee - International Coffee Day Giveaway 2026 Terms & Conditions


The following terms and conditions apply to the Kiss the Hippo International Coffee Day Giveaway 2026.

1. Promoter
The promoter is Kiss the Hippo Roastery Limited (company number 10748634), whose registered office is at Unit 33 Woodall Road, Redburn Industrial Estate, Enfield, London, England, EN3 4LQ (“Kiss the Hippo”, “we”, “us”).

2. The promotion
The International Coffee Day Giveaway 2026 (the “Prize Draw”) runs on the Kiss the Hippo Instagram account (@kissthehippo).
By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and Instagram’s applicable terms of use.

3. Entry period
The Prize Draw opens when the giveaway post is published on 18 September 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 1 October 2026 (UK time).
Entries received after the closing time will not be counted.

4. Eligibility
The Prize Draw is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, except employees of Kiss the Hippo, members of their immediate families, and anyone professionally connected with the Prize Draw.
No purchase is necessary.

5. How to enter
To enter via the giveaway post on @kissthehippo:
  1. Like the giveaway post;
  2. Follow @kissthehippo; and
  3. Tag a friend in a comment on the giveaway post.
Each separate comment tagging a different friend counts as one entry. You may enter more than once, provided a different friend is tagged in each entry.
For one additional bonus entry, share the giveaway post to your Instagram Story and tag @kissthehippo. Your Instagram account must be public at the time of the Story share so that we can verify and count the bonus entry.
Entries must be genuine. Bulk, automated, spam, fraudulent or otherwise invalid entries may be disqualified. Only valid entries that meet these Terms & Conditions will be included in the Prize Draw.
One prize may be won per person.

6. The prize
There is one prize and one winner.
The winner will receive:
  • One Fellow Opus 2 conical burr grinder; and
  • A 12-month Roaster’s Choice Single Origin coffee subscription, consisting of one 250g bag of single origin coffee, selected by our roasting team and delivered each month for 12 months.
The coffee will be selected by Kiss the Hippo each month. The winner may select their preferred grind, including whole bean or an available ground option, but may not select the coffee origin.
The prize will be delivered to a valid UK address provided by the winner. The coffee subscription will begin once the winner’s details and preferences have been confirmed and the subscription has been set up.
There is no cash alternative and the prize is non-transferable. If any part of the stated prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our reasonable control, we reserve the right to substitute it with an item of equal or greater value.
The winner is responsible for any personal tax liability arising from receipt of the prize.

7. Winner selection and notification
The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries after the Prize Draw closes, using a computer process that produces a verifiably random result.
The winner will be announced on Friday 2 October 2026 and contacted directly by @kissthehippo via Instagram direct message.
The winner must respond within 7 days of our initial message to claim the prize. If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within that period, declines the prize, or is found not to meet the eligibility requirements, we reserve the right to select an alternative winner at random from the remaining valid entries.
We may require reasonable proof of age, identity and UK residency before awarding the prize.
Subject to applicable data protection requirements, the winner’s name and county will be available for six weeks after the closing date by emailing info@kissthehippo.com. If you are a winner and object to this information being made available, please contact us at the same address. We may still be required to provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

8. Data protection
Personal information provided in connection with the Prize Draw will be used to administer the promotion, verify eligibility, contact the winner and arrange delivery of the prize.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Entering the Prize Draw does not sign you up to receive marketing communications from Kiss the Hippo.

9. Instagram and Meta
This Prize Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram or Meta. By entering, you acknowledge that Instagram and Meta have no responsibility for the Prize Draw.
Any information provided in connection with the Prize Draw is provided to Kiss the Hippo and not to Instagram or Meta.

10. General
We reserve the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Prize Draw where circumstances beyond our reasonable control make it necessary to do so, provided that we act fairly towards entrants and seek to avoid unnecessary disappointment.
We reserve the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with these Terms & Conditions or that we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, automated, abusive or otherwise invalid.
Our decision regarding the administration of the Prize Draw is final, subject to applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, Kiss the Hippo accepts no liability for loss, damage or injury arising from participation in the Prize Draw or acceptance of the prize, except for liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights entrants may have under applicable law.
