In Espindola, Ecuador, Manuel Efren Jiminez tends to his farm, La Cascarilla. Shifting from commodity to specialty coffee 12 years ago, Manuel's dedication to processing and fermentation has enhanced both the quality of his coffee and his family's livelihoods, earning premiums for exceptional microlots. Embracing sustainability, Manuel implements regenerative practices such as tree conservation, cover crops and beekeeping.
Our first ever (!) Ecuadorian offering, La Cascarilla embodies the spirit of passion and quality we value at Kiss the Hippo, with a classic Washed processing method leading to sweet cherry and pineapple notes with a delicate black tea finish.
We don’t label our coffee as espresso or filter. Instead, for each coffee we create a unique roasting profile, designed to bring out the best flavours from its origin, farm and milling method. That’s why, instead, we label our coffee based on the experience it brings to the cup.

For International orders, shipping costs will be calculated at checkout. Orders will be sent via DHL Express.
For EU orders, shipping costs will be calculated at checkout. Orders will be sent via Royal Mail.
